Contenant huit recommandations et un éventail de stratégies de mise en œuvre, un rapport sans précédent indique au Canada la voie à suivre par les CSSU pour qu’ils continuent d’améliorer la santé des Canadiens et les soins de santé qui leur sont offerts, de réaliser des recherches et des innovations qui sauvent des vies et de fournir une formation de classe mondiale aux futurs cliniciens.

The AHSC National Task Force Releases the National Symposium Meeting Summary Report (Anglais)

On January 28/29, 2010, approximately 80 representatives from various health-related fields (national, federal, and local) came together to participate in the AHSC-NTF National Symposium at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. The overall goal of the National Symposium was to engage a broad range of stakeholders to review and comment on the draft findings, recommendations and implementation strategies contained in the NTF Report. The workshop commenced with presentations that provided background on the AHSC NTF Process, the NTF Commissioned Research and a summary of the results of the consultations to date.

The specific objectives of the National Symposium were to:

Ensure a common understanding of the key elements of the report
Inform stakeholders of the results of the consultation to date on the Report
Obtain feedback on the draft findings, recommendations and implementation strategies
Identify priorities for action
Identify key challenges to moving forward
Build commitment and identify champions to sustain future action
